BALDA— a first-person 3D horror-platformer built in the browser with Three.js, styled as a parody of Baldi's Basics.

Gameplay

You wake up in a school hallway lined with classrooms. Walk in and solve math problems (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Answer correctly and earn a notebook; answer wrong and Balda starts chasing you, getting faster with every mistake. The goal is to collect enough notebooks and reach the EXIT door at the end of the hallway.

Enemies and hazards

- Balda — the main chaser, activates after your first wrong answer and keeps speeding up.

- Mops (green and black) — wander the hallway; touching one drags you away and slows you down.

- Thieves— chase you while you're carrying notebooks and steal one on contact (dropping you below the required amount re-locks the exit).

- **The Head Mop (boss)— appears at the exit if both mops and thieves are set to max. It stands its ground, frequently summons black mops as reinforcements, and has a large health pool.

Gum

Pieces of gum are scattered around the hallway — pick them up and throw them at a chaser (mouse click / Space) to slow them down temporarily. During the boss fight, gum becomes unlimited.

Pre-game settings

- Number of classrooms (hallway length)

- Problem difficulty (easy / medium / hard)

- Number of mops and thieves

Controls

WASD/arrow keys to move, mouse to look around, click to lock the cursor and throw gum, Space to throw.

Outcome: win by reaching the exit with enough notebooks; lose if Balda catches you. Either way, you're returned to the main menu afterward.

Install instructions

BALDA — PC version

How to run:

1. Make sure both files (balda.html and play.bat) are in the same folder.

2. Double-click play.bat.

The game will open in a separate window without the browser address bar — like a regular application (requires Chrome or Edge installed). If you have neither, the file will open in your default browser as a normal tab — the game will work the same way, just with the browser frame.
